A Very Full House...

The Remarkable Family of Tandy and Grace Brown

Mike Brown has graciously offered to be the Brown Family Blogger! He will attempt to take up where Dolfe left off with the Plain Brown Rappers, keeping us up to date. If you would like to contribute or comment on the blog, please go to tandyandgrace.tumblr.com and click on the "Submit" button in the upper left corner. You will need to enter your name and email in order to comment. You can also ask Mike a question by clicking on "Ask me anything" in the same area. If you want to include a picture, you do that by clicking the pulldown menu in the toolbar where it says "Text", selecting "Photo" and dragging your photo into the box. Add your text in the "Caption" box. Please let us know what is going on with you and your family! If you click on a photo in the blog, you can see it full size. As a side note, please identify which branch (i.e.sibling) you are connected to--some of us have a hard time keeping it all straight!

RIP Gordy and Nicki

From Mike and Nanette

We had the priviledge of meeting Gordy when he and Nicki began dating in the mid-1960s.  You could tell it was love from the beginning, and their long marriage was proof.  The last time we had a chance to see and visit them was at the family picnic in 2011.  They were still the love struck couple we remember from almost 50 years ago.  Heaven is a happier place now that they are together again.

Nicki & Gordon with Albert, Andy, Gordon David & Garrett; about 1974?

Gordon Schumacher

Gordon William Schumacher, July 12, 1943-June 30, 2013. We lost a loving father and grandfather and the best brother-in-law that anyone could ever hope for. Son-in-law to Anna & Norman French, husband to Nicki French (10-12-1945 to 10-6-2012) father of 4 and grandfather to 7. He is loved and will be sorely missed by all of us.

On June, 29, 2013, June celebrated her 94th birthday with a party, hosted by her sons (Kerry & Kirk) ably assisted by Kirk’s wife and daughter, Terri and Mary.  Five of the remaining seven brothers and sisters (June, Nancy, Dolfe, Pat & Mike), along with Leah’s daughters (Jean, Jerry & Jayne) and various spouses and nieces were in attendance.  Everyone had a great time visiting and remembering. The pary was held in Casper at the senior center where June lives.

Nicki French Schumacher

Nicki French Schumacher, daughter of Anna and Norman French, was born Oct 12, 1945 and died Oct 6, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gordon Schumacher and sons, Albert & Annette, Andy & Joanne, Gordy & Stacy and Garrett; granddaughters Alix O'Neil and Madeline Schumacher, grandsons Morgan, Patrick, Max, Will & Jake Schumacher.

The simple statistics do not tell the story of Nicki. As anyone who knew her and loved her can tell you, and these few pictures demonstrate, Nicki alway had a smile and a laugh ready to burst out. She loved life and people and more than anything, her family. She is sorely missed, but remembered always with joy and love.
