Betty was the sixth child of Tandy and Grace Brown. She was a quiet and loving person and had a ready smile. After graduation from High school, Betty went to collegel in Hastings Nebraska to get a teaching certificate and taught at the Iron Mountain Ranch. It was there she met her husband, Charlie Sylvester and they married.
During World War II, while Charlie was serving in the Army, Betty worked at the Modification Center -- a real "Rosie the Riveter"!
Betty and Charlie had three daughters; Ilene, Sally and Donna. Sadly, Betty passed away in 1946.
